Jane Francisco is an accomplished editorial director and brand strategist with a proven track record of revitalizing and modernizing iconic media brands. As the Editorial Director of the Hearst Lifestyle Group, she oversees influential titles such as Good Housekeeping, Country Living, Woman’s Day and Prevention, among others. With deep expertise in brand launches and turnarounds, Francisco specializes in making legacy brands compelling and relevant today — setting them up for sustained growth in an evolving media landscape.
A strategic leader, Francisco excels at adapting to market changes, creatively maximizing audience engagement, and identifying innovative partnership opportunities that drive new revenue potential. Her ability to blend editorial vision with business strategy has helped her brands expand their influence across digital, social, and emerging platforms while maintaining their trusted authority.
Originally from Canada, Francisco began her career in fashion and design before co-founding Venue, an art and pop culture magazine, in 1994. She later led several niche publications, including Style at Home, Wish and Glow, where she honed her ability to create engaging, multi-platform content across lifestyle categories like fashion, beauty, health, home and food.
In 2013, she was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Good Housekeeping, where she led the evolution of one of the most trusted women’s brands in North America. Under her leadership, Good Housekeeping has expanded its influence beyond print, driving digital growth, new business models and innovative consumer engagement strategies. Included among those is the Green Good Housekeeping Seal, an award for products evaluated by the scientists and engineers at the GH Institute for meeting environmental performance requirements.
